WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT UPON YOUR RETURN
Under the guidance of the CDC, PA Department of Health, and Philadelphia Health Department, our new Sporting Club Standard has been crafted with the health & safety of our members, guests, and staff as our highest priority.
In accordance with the city’s mandate, members must wear masks at all times. Masks must be worn throughout the facility, including common areas, studios, the fitness floor, cafe, locker rooms, pool deck, and elevators.
Masks can be removed to shower and are to be placed back on when done.
Masks must be worn when entering the pool area. Prior to getting in the pool, masks can be placed on provided shelving on the pool deck. We recommend bringing a ziplock bag to place your mask in.
Masks with vents are prohibited.
Lockers are available and are distanced. Unavailable lockers are zip tied.
Member belongings must be removed when exiting the Club. Any locker with a lock remaining at closing will have its contents removed. Executive Lockers & Premier Lockers are exempt from this policy. Items in rented lockers can remain overnight.
Showers and restrooms are available for use. Shower amenities including shampoo and body wash are available, however we recommend members bring their own. Masks can be removed to shower and are to be placed back on when done.
Vanity area amenities such as hair dryers, curling irons, and deodorant are not available.
Towels are provided, however we encourage members to bring their own.
Saunas are available with physical distancing enforced. Whirlpools & steam rooms are unavailable until further notice.
Three pool lanes are available with one swimmer permitted in each lane. All pool lanes are at least 7 feet wide.
Pool lane reservations are required. Members must register for a specific day, time, and pool lane. Time slots start at the top of the hour and are 45 minutes long. This 15 minute buffer between reservations eliminates crowding on the pool deck. We appreciate everyone’s courtesy and respect for timeliness when your reserved time slot is done.

As mandated by the city, masks are required on the pool deck. Masks must be worn when entering the pool area. Prior to getting in the pool, masks can be placed on provided shelving or hooks on the pool deck. We recommend bringing a ziplock bag to place your mask in.
In accordance with the city’s mandate, group fitness classes are capped at 10 members per class. Fitness studios are spaced out with designated spots. Members must register for a designated spot in The Sporting Club Classes mobile app for all classes. Masks must be worn in class.
Fitness classes will start the week of Monday, August 10.
All equipment on the fitness floor are spaced out to ensure safe physical distancing. Additional hand sanitizer stations and gym wipe canisters are placed throughout the Fitness Floor. In addition to enhanced staff cleaning protocols, members are required to clean before and after use of all equipment, including weights, mats, bands, and other props.
Until further notice, the basketball court, squash courts, and racquetball courts are unavailable, as safe physical distancing cannot be adhered to during these activities.
Pickleball courts are set up on the basketball court during all Club hours. Only singles games are permitted. Members must provide their own paddles and balls.
The Spa remains open and is taking appointments starting Monday, August 3. Services requiring mask removal will not be available until further notice. This includes lip, chin, and jaw waxing, in addition to all facials. Clients must wear a mask at all times. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Therapists will review our new standards with you.
Spa rooms will be cleaned and sanitized before and after every appointment. We encourage clients to wash their hands for 20 seconds with soap and water in our locker rooms prior to their appointment. Hand sanitizer will also be available in each room.
All clients must follow guidelines recommended by the CDC, PA Department of Health, and Philadelphia Health Department.

Monday – Thursday || 5am to 10pm
Friday || 5am to 9pm
Saturday || 7am to 7pm
Sunday || 8am to 7pm
Plexiglass is installed at our front desk, membership office, cafe, business office, and fitness floor desk as protection for our staff, members, and guests.
Additional hand sanitizer stations and gym wipe canisters are available throughout the entire facility.
Please wash your hands often in our restrooms, locker rooms, and portable sinks available in the Rotunda on the first floor.
Members, staff, and guests are to follow all CDC guidelines. This includes staying 6 ft apart from others, properly wearing a mask at all times, staying home if you are feeling ill, and washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Floor decals and additional signage are placed throughout the Club as a reminder to stay 6 ft apart from others, wear a mask, and follow all other CDC guidelines. Directional arrows are placed in the hallway from the elevators to our front desk to enforce an orderly flow of traffic.
